My tapestry project is finished! It’s mostly finished. At the same time, I’m gathering supplies so I can permanently hang it up. I can’t help but dream up a new project or two to do.

It’s that time of year when we say goodbye to our wool clothing and accessories. If you are like me, there is so much to take care of! I’m trying to do a little bit every week to get through it all.

As a spinner, crocheter, knitter, designer, etc I like to keep track of my projects so I can remember things to pick them up again later or repeat a project. 

Tracking notes for my many projects can be a challenge. I’m still working on that system. I keep notes about projects in a written journal, on Ravelry, in my notes app, and Word documents.

The Greens Tapestry is my favorite project right now. Remember the green yarn I collected a few weeks back? I did a little sample on a small loom so I could determine sett for the warp and know how much weft yarn I might need.

Have you stalled on a project you were excited about? Or are you struggling to start them? If you have a family to care for and work outside the home, your crafting time is limited! So please be kind to yourself with the time you do have. Right now, I am very lucky because I have more time to do the things I love. Even with that time, I struggle to get motivated, or things get in the way. So I’m curious about what gets in the way of doing the things I love.

One of my greatest challenges as a creative person is having so many projects going at once. I’ll interupt active projects with a new project because I got some ribbon so I made some trinket baskets or when I came accross my vintage Weave-it loom and explored how to join the finished squares.
